Use this to calculate the number of posts and rails needed in your Western Rail Fence; Standard or Massive size or Security Fence.  To use this, please select the quantity of rails in an 8' foot span. Make sure only ONE box is checked at a time. A stretch of fence is defined as a continuous section, without corners, gates or stops in it. Any place where the fence changes direction ends one stretch and starts another. End posts have the holes drilled half way through, to start and end a stretch. Corners are drilled at a 90 degree angle to allow you to turn a corner. There are places to enter the amount of ENDS and CORNERS. The calculator will only calculate the amount of LINE posts and rails needed.
